Sadly, this might be the last Montage Monday until Christmastime until exams are out of the way.

Greatness is for all of us...

This montage should have been featured last week but it's here now. In the opening section, Ashley used the audio from a Nike commercial that aired during the Olympics. It's quite powerful. I love that the editing was simple and all you really had was the overlay of the athlete - then and now. It features many of the big names in USA gymnastics through the years and is really touching.
“Greatness.
It’s just something we made up.
Somehow we’ve come to believe greatness is a gift, reserved for a chosen few.
For prodigies. For superstars,
And the rest of us can only standby watching.
You can forget that.
Greatness is not some rare DNA strand.
Its not some precious thing.
Greatness is no more unique to us than breathing.
We’re all capable of it.
All of us.”

This is the latest spoken word using the motivational "How Winners are Made" speech. It has footage mostly from the 2012 Olympics but also from Worlds. My favorite part has to be McKayla maroney at 1:15 with the not impressed face just as we hear, "You want more than you have now? Prove it!" That she did!

This montage is made to a cover of Bruno Mars' Just the Way You Are by Epik Emcee. It focuses on her Olympic experience and all the reactions and emotions that came with each and every single one of her performances.
